An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted on January 27, 2020 from approximately 8:00 am until 9:15 am. Upon entrance there were 16 children and 3 staff present. The record review sample consisted of 5 children's records and the on site required documentation for 3 staff records. Children were observed playing board games, with Legos and cars. The results of the inspection were reviewed with the Center Director. Areas of non-compliance are noted on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on documentation review and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure that each staff had the required information, to be kept at the center, about any health problems which may interfere with fulfilling the job responsibilities.
Evidence: One of three records reviewed did not include information about any health related problems for staff #3. The center director confirmed the missing information.Plan of Correction: The center director had staff fill out form during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on documentation review and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure the center shall implement a monthly practice evacuation drill and a a minimum of two shelter-in-place practice drills per year for the most likely to occur scenarios.
Evidence: There was not documentation available for review that a minimum of two shelter in place drills had been conducted in 2019. The center director confirmed the missing information.Plan of Correction: The center director will find the original document and if not will conduct two drills
