Today an unannounced renewal study was conducted between 11:30am & 1:00pm. There were 51 children present with 5 staff. Children were observed reading, building, coloring, eating lunch and story time.Physical plant, programs, children's records, medications, and emergency drills were also reviewed. Staff records are reviewed annually in the administrative office, however, MAT (medication administration training) and first aid/CPR certificates were available for review. Staff #1 and #2 do not have documentation of emergency contact information.Plan of Correction: We will have them fill out the form.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-E-5 Description: Based on observation, staff to child ratio was out of compliance.
Evidence:
Upon arrival there were 30 school aged children with one staff member.Plan of Correction: A second staff member came into room from other classroom.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-K Description: Based on observation, tables were not sanitized before children ate lunch. Tables were sanitized after lunch.
Evidence:
Children sat at tables to eat lunch without the tables being sanitized.Plan of Correction: We will make sure the tables are sanitized before they eat lunch and snack.
