An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted January 27 2020 between 9:30am and 11:00am. There were 54 children in the direct care of 5 staff members. Children were observed participation in "Board Game Day", playing outside, drawing, and eating snack. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-D Description: Based on observation, the center does not have the most recent license posted in a conspicuous location to the public.
Evidence: The license that is posted on the parent wall is the previous license that expired November 2019. The license has been renewed for two more years, but is not currently posted in the center.Plan of Correction: Staff will obtain new license from SACC office.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, a hazardous substance was not kept in a locked location.
Evidence: An aerosol cleaning spray was located in an unlocked cabinet in SACC room #2.Plan of Correction: All hazardous substances will be locked in the file cabinet.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on observation, the center did not have documentation that a monthly evacuation drill was conducted each month.
Evidence: The center supervisor stated that drills were conducted for the months of October and December of 2019, but it was not documented on the evacuation drill forms.Plan of Correction: All fire drills will be documented immediately.
