Comments:
The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated renewal inspection from 1:45 a.m. until 2:55 p.m. There were 9 infants and toddlers in care with 3 staff supervising. The director and the director in training were also present. Diapering, playing, and rest time were observed, as well as an ill child be taken care of until their parent came to pick them up. Medications were reviewed and the corresponding paperwork. Violations from the last inspection had been corrected. The violation from today is on the violation notice. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation. Please call your inspector at 276-698-9981 with any questions.

Description: Based on observation and interview, the center was using portable heaters in non-emergency situations.
Evidence:
1. The inspector observed a portable heater in the infant room that was turned on. 2. The director said that it is turned on in the morning to warm the rooms.

Plan of Correction: Heaters will be removed and church may be asked to turn the heat earlier in the morning to warm the rooms.
