An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:20 am-12:00pm. At the time of entrance, 58 children were in care with 11 staff members present. Children were observed during centers, painting, washing hands, putting their coats on and preparing to go outside, walking down the hallway and outdoor play time. The site was clean and organized. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, medications and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, one of five children's records did not have complete information.
1. Child #2's file was missing documentation of the annual update to confirm up to date information is in the child's record.
Plan of Correction: I will have the parents review the child's information. i[date if needed and sign it.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on review of 5 staff records, the center did not obtain the central registry report within 30 days of employment for one staff member.
1. Staff #3's (Date of hire 12/09/2019) file was missing the results of the central registry. The center documented it was sent on 12/10/2019.
Plan of Correction: I will call them today and locate it.
