An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 7:30 am- 8:45. There were a total of 60 children with 5 staff members present. Children were observed arriving to the program, engaged in group activities in the gym, coloring and sand art. A selection of staff trainings and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G Description: Based on medication review, medication is not identified on the prescription label in accordance with the prescriber's instructions pertaining to dosage, frequency and manner of administration.
Evidence: The pharmacy label for child #1's medication is labeled, administer .3 mg of medication. The medication form, signed by the physician says to administer .15 mg of medication.Plan of Correction: We will speak to the parent about the error.
