Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 18 children with 2 staff present today When the Inspector arrived, the children were outside playing on the playground and basketball court. Each staff was strategically placed to ensure adequate supervision. When the children transitioned inside, they placed their jackets in their individual bins and lined up orderly for the bathroom to wash hands. Snack table was sanitized before and after snack. Snack today was fresh apples and milk. The children broke into small groups and engaged in legos, individual reading and homework, drawing on a large banner size paper with crayons and pencils. A crystal art project was completed and placed in their bins to take home. The children opted for large gross motor play which included monkey and bear walking. All 9 medications reviewed, 8 children's records and required training/certifications for staff were reviewed. Previous violations from the last inspection were reviewed and corrections were verified. This inspection began at approximately 2:40pm and ended at 5pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-50-A
Description: Based on observation, child information was not treated with confidentiality.
Evidence: Information regarding a child was found posted with the December licensing inspection.

Plan of Correction: We will remove this immediately.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-D-5
Description: Based on staff record review and staff statement, verification that at least one staff member on duty has completed Daily Health Observation instruction was not found.
Evidence: According to Staff #1, they have completed daily health observation training. Verification of this training was not maintained.

Plan of Correction: Staff contacted the main office and had the verification uploaded onto their electronic records.We will ensure that all certifications are maintained for staff at the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-M
Description: Based on review of documentation and staff statement, a written record of children's injuries was not maintained.
Evidence: According to Staff #1, injury reports are sent to the main office and are maintained there. .

Plan of Correction: We will maintain a copy of all injury reports at the program.
