An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. There were 125 children in care, with a total of 18 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, the physical plant, administrative records, staff files, staff training documentation, emergency preparedness items, classroom programming, and classroom supplies were inspected today.
The children were observed eating lunch, engaging in quiet classroom activities, and taking their afternoon nap.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records do not contain all required information.
Evidence:
1 - Child record A does not include: the parent's work contact information; the information for a second emergency contact person.
2 - Child record F does not include: the parent's work phone number; "authorized pick ups" information.Plan of Correction: Both parents will be asked for the information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-E Description: Based on observations, it was determined that some of the children's rest cots were not placed at least 12 inches apart.
Evidence:
Upon entering Room 8, the Inspector observed several of the occupied rest cots placed nearly side-by-side. These cots were not spaced at least 12 inches apart.Plan of Correction: The children were just preparing for nap. The cots were immediately moved before the children fell asleep.
