An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 12:45 pm ? 3:15 pm with the director. There were 39 children in care, ranging from three years to five years of age, supervised by five staff. The children were observed napping during today's inspection. Five children's records and four staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Three applicant/agent records were reviewed. One medication was reviewed and in compliance. The emergency escape drill log, first aid kit, battery operated radio and flashlight were all observed and in compliance. The last health inspection was: 9/30/2019 and the last fire inspection was: 10/1/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-A Description: Based on review of three records for agents of an applicant for licensure, and an interview with the director, it was determined that not all agents had a criminal history record or central registry search results on file. Evidence: Agent #1 (date of hire: 2017) did not have documentation of a criminal history record or central registry search report on file. Plan of Correction: A Central Registry search request will be mailed today, and a fingerprint based criminal history check will be obtained no later than 2/28/20.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-A Description: Based on review of three records for agents of an applicant for licensure, and an interview with the director, it was determined that not all agents had a repeat central registry report every five years. Evidence: Agent #2 had a central registry search report that was dated: 4/10/14. Plan of Correction: A Central Registry search request will be mailed today.
