Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included documentation of emergency procedures and allergy action plans.

Comments:
An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted this morning. There were 8 children present with two staff. I observed children busy with painting, building with blocks, reading during circle time, playing with toys. and beginning lunch. This inspection, in addition to the previous inspection for licensing standards of Virginia, meets the requirements for the SSHI program. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-510-C
Description: Based on observation during the beginning of the inspection, records were not accessible for review..
Evidence:
In the first ten minutes of the inspection, the staff member present did not have access to the locked office where records were located. The second staff arrived within 10 minutes and records were made available for review.

Plan of Correction: I will make more keys for all the staff.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-C
Description: Based on a review of records today, not all staff had documentation of Virginia Preservice Training as required for the SSHI program.
Evidence:
Staff # 2 and #3 had documentation of 3 hour training but no documentation of the 10 hour training required for the SSHI program. .

Plan of Correction: The two teachers will do the training this weekend and have it done by next week.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-2
Description: Based on a review of records today, the emergency plan did not contain all items required for shelter-in-place.
Evidence:
There was no information documented for different scenarios, lockdown situations and family reunification as required.

Plan of Correction: We will add this to the procedures.
