A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 2/25/2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal study was conducted today after school. There are 65 children present with 5 staff. 5 staff records were reviewed for specific items only as the full record is reviewed at the main office at another time. 6 children's records were reviewed. all were complete. Emergency evacuation drills,, first aid supplies, emergency supplies, menu and required posted documents are all in compliance. The playground was not inspected today due to inclement weather. Children were observed washing hands, eating snack, during an emergency evacuations drill and transitioning to the gym. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at 703-479-4678 or at Sarah.Marbert@dss.virginia.gov. LI was present today form 2:25 (prior to children's arrival)- 5:00 PM. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
