A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on February 26, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing inspector arrived at 10:55 am and departed at 12:55pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. There were 5 children present upon arrival to the center with two staff members. Additional staff arrived throughout the course of the inspection. The children were observed in freely playing, table activities and eating lunch. Fiv children's records were reviewed. Three staff records were reviewed. Medications are currently not being administered. The exit interview was conducted with the Program Director.
A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-650-E Description: Based on staff interview, the vendor did not ensure there was a written policy and procedures that that describes how the vendor will ensure that each group of children receives care by consistent staff or team of staff members.
Evidence: Staff #1 was not able to provide a written policy and procedures to ensure each group of children receives care by consistent staff or team of staff members.
Plan of Correction: The staff will develop written policy and procedures to ensure each group of children receives care by consistent staff.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on staff interview, the vendor did not ensure procedure was created for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during emergency.
Evidence: Staff #1 was not able to provide a written policy and procedures to ensure continuity of operations during emergency.
Plan of Correction: Developed procedures while the licensing inspection was present.
