Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, February 27, 2020. The on-site inspection was held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. On this date, there were 34 children in three classrooms and in the care of six staff members. There were two additional staff members available to assist if needed. All three of the classrooms were toured and two of them were observed. The total enrollment for the program was 49 children. There were five staff members' records and five children's records reviewed. There were five staff and three children interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administered. There were no violations of the licensing standards found. The theme for the week was Dr. Seuss. Lunch was brought from home. This morning the children enjoyed trying green eggs and ham for snack.
Some items observed and reviewed during the inspection included transition from lunch, hand washing and bathroom procedures, nap time, infant feeding, diaper changing procedures, infant care, afternoon snack, center time, choice time, one outdoor play area, injury reports, required posted information, diaper ointments and authorizations, documentation of evacuation drills, shelter-in-place and lockdown drills, and warm water temperature.
