Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, February 28, 2020. The on-site inspection was conducted from 12:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. On this date, there were 17 children in the care of two staff members in one classroom. There were a total of 20 children enrolled in the preschool program. Five children's records were reviewed. The two staff members' records were reviewed on 09/16/2019 at the MACAA administration office. Two staff members and three children were interviewed. There were no medications on-site or currently being administrated. Snack was served by the elementary school, observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of graham crackers and applesauce. There was a birthday celebration after snack. The theme for the month was Buildings. The children had enjoyed art class in the morning. Some of the items observed and reviewed included: injury reports, documentation of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, weekly sanitizing of the rest mats, required posted material, first aid kit and emergency supplies, current fire and health inspections, nap, transitions after nap, bathroom and hand washing procedures, afternoon snack, a fun birthday celebration, and dismissal procedures.
