A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 3:45pm through 5:15pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 41 children were present with 4 caregivers at the beginning of the inspection. Children were observed washing hands, eating snack, which consisted of sub sandwiches and juice, and engaging in group gross motor activities in the gym. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 11 medications, allergy action plans and 7 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. All staff on site are current in CPR/First Aid Training, two staff have current Medication Administration Training, and one staff has Daily Health Observation Training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions,
