An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Monday, March 2, 2020 to determine the center?s compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 9:30am and concluded the inspection at approximately 12:20pm. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 29 children in the direct care of 7 staff members. The center?s director was present and assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. The inspector observed and inspected each classroom and completed formal observations throughout. The children were observed in their designated classrooms. When the inspector arrived, a group of children was observed in their classroom listening to the story Rabbits and Rainbows. The letter of the week is ?R.? In the downstairs classroom, the children were observed playing in centers. The children were observed having positive interactions with peers and staff. The school age children were not present during the inspection. The required postings were observed and found to be in compliance. All areas where the children receive care, inside and outside, were inspected. The center?s first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Transportation is not provided. During the inspection, two medications, five children?s records, and five staff?s records were reviewed today. The most recent evacuation drill was conducted on 2/26/20. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented on 2/26/20.

The provider must send documentation to the licensing inspector that the central registry search has been requested no later than 10 days following this notification dated 03/02/2020.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on a review of five staff?s records and interview on 03/02/2020, the center did not have documentation of an updated central registry finding every five years from the date of the most recent central registry finding for one staff.
Evidence: 1) The last central registry finding in the record for Staff #5, hired on 12/15/11, was dated 2/12/2015. 2) During interview, a member of management confirmed that a central registry search was not resubmitted for Staff #5.Plan of Correction: The central registry search will be requested today, 03/02/2020.
