Discussed the beginning signs of wear on the cabinets in some of the classrooms.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today. The physical plant, annual fire inspection, 10 children's files, children's activities, 4 medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected between 11:50am-1:15pm. There were 154 children under the supervision of 22 staff in the Pre-School program. Today, the children colored pictures, played with toys, made crafts (beads, Christmas ornaments, beading), learned words beginning with the letter "I", listened to storytime, sang songs and prepared to leave for the day. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. The children bring in their lunches from home each day that they are in care. Staff files are not reviewed on site, but during an annual administrative file review. There are 10 staff currently certified in MAT (medication administration training).
