Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided regarding making sure emergency contact information is received when substitutes are brought in to work.
Technical assistance was provided regarding concerns of the number of children in care.

Comments:
Today an unannounced renewal study was conducted between 9:00am & 10:45am. There were 70 children present with 3 staff upon arrival, 2 other staff arrived at 9:45am. Children were observed playing with cards, coloring, playing games, arriving and going outside. Programming, children's records, medications, and emergency drills were also reviewed. Staff records are reviewed annually in the administrative office, however, MAT (medication administration training) and first aid/CPR certificates were available for review. Description: Based on observation, staff to child ratios were not maintained according to licensing standards, one adult for every 18 children.
Evidence:
Upon inspector arrival, there was one staff member with 38 children in one classroom with children ranging from five to 12 years of age.

Plan of Correction: We have two staff scheduled to come in at 9:45am. We do not usually have this many children in the morning.We will contact the office about having additional staff in the am.
