A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on Thursday, March 5, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 10:15am and concluded the inspection at approximately 1:10pm. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 35 children in the direct care of 4 staff members. Additional staff were on site and available during the inspection. The center?s director was present and assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. Upon the inspector?s arrival, the children were engaged in a variety of activities. The inspector observed and inspected each classroom and completed formal observations throughout. The children were observed in their designated classrooms. The children were initially observed during free-play, dancing, singing songs, and playing with peers and the staff. The children were later observed lining up and going out to the playground. All areas where the children receive care, inside and outside, were inspected. The required postings were observed and found to be in compliance. The center?s first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. During the inspection, five children?s records, three medications, and five staff?s records were reviewed.
The menu was posted and today?s lunch consisted of cheeseburger, bun, French fries, baked apples, and milk.

A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were no violations cited today.
