A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 7:00am to 8:20am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 35 children were present with 5 caregivers. Children were observed playing basketball, coloring, playing games, and participating in various other table top activities. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 13 medications, allergy action plans and 7 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. All staff on site are current in CPR/First Aid training, 3 staff are trained in Daily Health Observation, and 2 staff are trained in Medication Administration Training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
