Comments:
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today. All rooms are in ratio during the inspection.
4 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed. See violation notice for missing information.
Medications, first aid supplies, emergency supplies, hand washing and playground supervision were all in compliance. Children were observed playing with age appropriate toys, painting, singing, reading books and participating. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-J
Description: Based on Director statement, there is no injury prevention plan update available.

Plan of Correction: An updated plan will be typed up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-D-6
Description: Based on a review of records, no staff person is current in Daily Health observation training.
Evidence:
All staff certifications expired on March 5, 2020.

Plan of Correction: A class has already been scheduled for all staff for this training.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-A
Description: Based on direct observation, an infant was not paced in a high chair, infant carrier seat or a feeding table while being fed.
Evidence:
An infant was placed on the floor with a "Boppy" pillow and given a bottle for feeding.

Plan of Correction: Staff will be retrained in feeding procedures.
