Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 3:05pm through 4:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 37 children were present with 4 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: reading books, playing outside on the playground, handwashing, and eating afternoon snack. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 4 medications, allergy action plans, and 7 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. All staff present are current in CPR/First Aid certification, 2 staff present are Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified, and 3 staff present have current Daily Health Observation Training.

A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Please contact me at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
