An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
The children were playing outdoors, working in centers, reading stories and eating lunch.
Previous violations, five children's files and medications were reviewed.
Fifty-four children were in care with six classroom staff, three center aides and the family health advocate.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on a tour of the physical plant, the facility failed to keep all hazardous substances in a locked place.
Evidence:
1. There are two aerosol spray bottles of Lysol above the sink and there is a container of lavender oil on top of the cubbies in room 1.Plan of Correction: Talked with all staff to keep all chemicals locked up at all times.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on a tour of the physical plant, the facility failed to ensure that there is six inches of resilient surface material under swings.
Evidence:
1. There is one inch of mulch under the tire swing.Plan of Correction: Mulch was put on playground and is being raked every day.
