An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, March 4, 2020.
Upon arrival to the center the LI was introduced to the new program director
A tour of the center was conducted. Each classroom was involved with free play, outside play, center play, lunch and nap time. There are 44 children in care with nine classroom staff, four office staff and one cook.
A review of staff and children's records was conducted.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observations during the inspection the center failed to maintain all areas in a safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. The Little Tykes kitchen in the 4-5 year old class has a door that is cracked which is a pinch point.
2. The bathroom wall in the two year old classroom downstairs has a hole that is approximately 12 inches long and two inches wide. This area is accessible to the children.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.

1. In the two year old classroom downstairs, a shelf had a bottle of "wite out" and a spray bottle of sanitizer not locked.Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-E Description: Based on observation during the inspection the center failed to maintain 12 inches between occupied cots.
Evidence:
1. During nap time while observing the 12-18 month old classroom it was found that two occupied cots were touching. A third occupied cot was approximately eight inches away from another occupied cot.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
