Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 16, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, record keeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, and emergency plans. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-500-A
Description: Based on observation and interview, a list of all children's allergies was not kept confidentially in the room or area where children are present.
Evidence:
In the Toddler classroom, an allergy list was unavailable. The staff member stated that the classroom contained children with allergies. The staff member also stated that an allergy list was not in the classroom.

Plan of Correction: Director stated that a list will be placed in the classroom.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-H
Description: Based on record review, a staff file did not contain documentation of the safety update training.
Evidence:
One of four records reviewed did not contain documentation of the health and safety update training that was required to be completed by 03/01/2020.

Plan of Correction: Director stated that the staff member will complete the training.
