The following was discussed with the director and the licensing manager:
*Requirements for outside vendors and/or therapists- Any staff left alone with children are required to have background checks
*Guiding challenging behaviors and creating smoother transitions between activities to promote positive guidance.
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Upon arrival there were 31 children in care with 4 staff present. Two medications were reviewed. Children were observed in learning centers, washing hands and preparing to go outside.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on a record review the center did not ensure a monthly evacuation drill was implemented.
Evidence:
The document the center uses to record monthly evacuation did not include a drill conducted in the month of February.Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview:
This was an oversight. Two drills will be conducted in March.
