Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on May 11, 2020. The acting Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present but center is planning on reopening next week starting with smaller group sizes but 2 staff in each group. The Inspector emailed the acting Director a list of items required to complete the inspection and the Inspector reviewed a child?s record for allergy plan and 2 new staff records to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards and this was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on interview and record review it was determined the facility did not have an annual fire inspection report conducted.
Evidence:
1. The last Fire Inspection available for review was dated September 19, 2018.
2. The acting Administrator called the fire official's office to determine if a test had been conducted since that time and learned it had not been conducted.

Plan of Correction: We have it now scheduled for May 27, 2020.
