This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on May 15, 2020 and concluded on the same date. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 19 children present and 7 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain and keep all required information in child's file.
Evidence: Child 1 is missing 2nd parent work place and phone number.Plan of Correction: We will collect the information needed from parent and update the record.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-90--A Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain required written agreements between the parent and center before the child's first day of attendance.
Evidence: Child 1 did not have written agreements regarding emergency care, sick policy and communicable diseases.Plan of Correction: We will have parent sign off on the written agreements provided to them.
