An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 9:30am to 10:35am. This is a follow up monitoring inspection related to the complaint inspection completed on 07/06/2016. The children were engaged in a variety of activities including making a snowman craft. Standard #: 63.2-1716-B-3 Description: Based on a review of staff records and staff interview on 12/13/2016, the center did not ensure that a daily simple health screening and exclusion of sick children could be completed by a person trained to perform such screenings. EVIDENCE: 1. According to Staff #7, the only staff with daily health screening was Staff #6 and Staff #7. 2. The most recent documentation of health screening training for Staff #6 and Staff #7 is dated 03/21/2012. 3. Training for Daily Health Screening has to be renewed every three years. Plan of Correction: Reached out to SS of Mecklenburg Co. Ms. Oliver is trying to get us in a class and will call me back, if not we will do online class.
Standard #: 63.2-1724 Description: Based on a review of staff records on 12/13/2016 the center did not ensure that the criminal history check for one of five staff records reviewed was received with in 30 days of employment. EVIDENCE: The criminal history check in the record of Staff #5, whose date of hire was 09/15/2016, is dated 12/05/2016. Plan of Correction: Will make sure paperwork is done prior to hiring
