This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 6/2/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and one staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, the center did not maintain a separate record for each child enrolled that contained the following information:
Evidence: Child #1's record did not contain documentation of an annual request of parent confirmation that the required information in the child's record is up to date.Plan of Correction: The information was present on a child enrolled Dec 2019 but the signature was missing. If child returns to care the signature will be requested. The family has been contacted by email.
