This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 16, 2020 and concluded on June 16, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 21 children present and 10 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not have a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1, date of hire, 02/03/2020, did not have documentation of Central Registry findings available for review in the record.
2. Staff #3 stated that the Central Registry findings were not in the record and could not be located.Plan of Correction: Documentation of Central Registry Findings were located and placed in the file on 06/17/2020.
