63.2(17) License & Registration Procedures
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 8, 2020 and concluded on June 9, 2020. The coordinator was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The facility was closed to children and staff. The inspector emailed the coordinator a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on a review of records, one employee did not obtain the results of a central registry background check within five years of the preceding central registry check.
On the date of inspection (06/09/2020) Staff 2's central registry results were observed to have been obtained on 06/01/2015.
Plan of Correction: We have been closed since 3/16/20. This staff does not report in to the PRCS admin office. We were planning to renew expired background checks prior to reopening and working with children. We will ask any staff who are not considered high risk to come in to the office to update any expiring background checks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
