Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An initial inspection was conducted today, June 17, 2020 for the Child Day Center (CDC). In attendance were Amanda McDaniel, owner; Ariel Hayes, Director; and Alissa, Asst. Director. No children were in care. A total of 2 Board Officers files and 1 Director file was reviewed. A virtual tour of each classroom, kitchen, and the four playgrounds was performed.

As discussed, the following list of items are still needed in order to complete the current initial application: The final Certificate of Occupancy; the most recent inspection conducted by the Health Department; the Load Permit (stating the use group); the square footage for each of your 4 playgrounds; and those areas of the Emergency Preparedness Plan required by licensing for the CDC.

If you should have any future questions, please call or send an email to charles.perkins@dss.virginia.gov. Thank you.

Charlie Perkins,
Licensing Inspector
