Discussed how to prepare Injury Prevention updates annually.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on and concluded on June 24, 2020. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 4 children present and 3 staff. The center allowed for two groups to be cared for as one group were for infants and another group for children that are 5 years of age. The Inspector emailed the Director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed children?s records and staff records virtually and administrative items were also submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined the center's staff did not undergo a Central Registry search before five years since the last background checks were obtained.
1. Four staff are currently employed at the center and three staff had CPS checks that were conducted in May, 2015.
Plan of Correction: We were going through the paperwork and realized that checks needed to be conducted. We will contact the Inspector when eligibility emails are received.
