This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced focused monitoring inspection was initiated on 7/22/20 concluded on 7/22/20. The inspection took place from 10:45 am until 11:14 am, and additional interviews with staff were conducted on the same date from 12:50 pm to 1:10 pm. The director was contacted by telephone virtually to initiate the inspection. There were 55 children present. A classroom was observed virtually for 15 minutes with six children and two adults. Children and staff were observed while sitting and drinking, doing an art project and during music and dancing. Two staff and the owner were interviewed and injury reports were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
