Discussion of age appropriate activities and equipment for this extended age group.
- Comments:

The center has requested a modification to the age range; extending the age to 8 years (through the 1st Grade). These Distance Learners would be placed in a separate classroom where they would be able to sit (at a safe distance) with their devices as they received instruction from their Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Kindergarten and 1st graders would be together in the appropriate ratio. Currently, the center has (1) unused classroom and (1) large Multipurpose room that can be sectioned off. Activities outside of their Distance Learning curriculum would be age appropriate and would include: outside play, rest time, lunch & snacks, and other organized activities. Parents would continue to drop off and pick up. Therefore, the center would not need to provide transportation. Once FCPS return to 5-day in-person school day, the children would no longer attend this program.
