22VAC40-185 STAFFING AND SUPERVISION.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A complaint inspection was initiated and concluded on 8/17/20. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of physical plant. The director was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation, and a virtual tour of the center was conducted at 9:40 am. The evidence gathered during the investigation supported the allegation of non-compliance with standards and violations were issued, and listed on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on observation, inside areas of the center were not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence: In the Dragonflies room (16 months - 2years of age), peeling paint was found on the wall behind the home living furniture used by the children.
Plan of Correction: The wall will be sanded and re-painted.
