The inspector conducted an announced mandated inspection from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Kid's and Company/Giles Health and Family Center plans to open this site at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship. This is a new child day center; no children were in care. The inspector inspected all the classrooms to be used, bathrooms, and the playground area . The center has necessary supplies (games,art supplies) including emergency supplies. Several of the standards could not be determined due to the center not being open and not having children in care. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on observation and measurement, the one piece of playground equipment did not meet the required fall zone requirement.
Evidence:
1. The inspector observed the airplane and it did not have the required use zone, it had approximately 4 feet of use zone around it.Plan of Correction: The piece of equipment will not be used until more mulch is delivered and the use zone expanded.
