Discussed outstanding background checks for the newly appointed pastor. Background checks must be reviewed by the licensing inspector prior to the renewal of the child day center license.
For the absence of background checks for staff members found in noncompliance the provider must send documentation to the LI that the background checks have been requested no later than 10 days following this notification dated 8/21/2020. Once the background check is received by the center, the results must be forwarded to the licensing inspector.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 8/20/2020 and concluded on 8/21/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children on the date of inspection and the center is not currently operating. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 staff and administrator records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
