This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on August 27, 2020 and concluded on August 28, 2020. The assistant director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 10:20 a.m. A video inspection was conducted beginning at 10:45 a.m. There were 34 children present and 5 staff. Infants were observed having playtime on the floor. The two year old class was observed during potty training time. Two year olds were observed at various centers and reading books. Three and four year olds were observed at various centers. The school age class was observed during quiet reading time. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and three staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Emergency drills were up to date.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
