22VAC40-185 SPECIAL CARE PROVISIONS AND EMERGENCIES.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A complaint inspection was conducted on 8/27/20. A complaint was received by the department on 4/9/20 regarding allegations of inadequate communication and documentation of children's injuries with parents. The inspector interviewed two staff, reviewed two children's records and documentation of accidents/incidents. The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegation of non-compliance with standards. Violations not related to the complaint but identified during the course of the investigation can be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on review of two children's records, the center did not obtain all of the required documentation for children's records. Evidence: The records for Child A and Child B, did not contain documentation of the name, address, and phone numbers of two designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached, the mother's place of employment, or the physician's phone number. Plan of Correction: We will make sure that the parent provides the required information.
