This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the center was not conducted at this time.
A renewal inspection was conducted on this date. The center supervisor was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 16 children + 11 staff present. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The current primary focus of the program is to facilitate virtual learning for the children enrolled, and this requires flexible scheduling of other activities throughout the day. Children and staff in each class remain consistent, and interactions are limited to only those in that assigned group. Staff training certifications were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were no non-compliances with applicable standards or laws reviewed.
