Technical assistance was provided regarding tuberculosis screening/testing timeframes and children's records. In addition, new requirements outlined under Senate Bill 668 were reviewed.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/7/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 45 children present and 8 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the violation notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 4:00pm on Wednesday, 10/14/2020. Please email me at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov with any questions or clarifications needed.
