This Inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 10-01-2020 and concluded on 10-01-2020. The in-charge person was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 9 children present and 2 direct staff. The inspector emailed the facility a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 of staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Child #1's record does not contain documentation of a complete address for one emergency contact.Plan of Correction: The parent has been contacted and asked to provide that address.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record does not contain documentation of a repeated Child Abuse and Neglect (CPS) search within the allowable time frame of 5 years.
Evidence:
Staff A's record has a completed CPS search dated 09/23/2015 (expired).Plan of Correction: The staff member will fill out a new form today, so that it can be submitted.
