This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was concluded on September 30, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present during the inspection. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A Description: Based on record review, the facility did not provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence:
On the date of inspection the facility provided a Fire Prevention Code Permit (expired 2/28/2020). The center has scheduled a fire inspection for 10/23/2020.Plan of Correction: A fire inspection has been scheduled for 10/23/2020. The results of the inspection will be forwarded to the licensing inspector.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-A Description: Based on record review, one agent of the child day center did not have the results of a central registry check.
Evidence:
Adult 1, employed for a period of over 30 days, did not have the results of a central registry check on file.Plan of Correction: A request for the central registry check has been submitted. The results will be forwarded to the licensing inspector when they are received.
