Training given on all the new requirements and discussion of Emergency Plan.

An unannounced SHSI was conducted from 9:00 - 10:15. There were two children present with the vendor for a total of 2 points. The home, records, and program were reviewed. The vendor has current First Aid/CPR and has attended trainings and is completing her 16 hours requirement. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based on record review, it was determined, that the Vendor is not maintaining a written hard copy of daily attendance that records the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: 1. The vendor has an attendance record but does not include time in and out. Plan of Correction: Inspector gave me a sheet that I can fill out and not have parents do it.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-A Description: Based on interview, the vendor did not maintain a record for a child present. Evidence: 1. Vendor had 2 children and 1 was a family member visiting while parent was out for the day. Vendor stated she didn't have a record for her. Plan of Correction: I will give paperwork for the child.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-B Description: Based on interview, it was determined vendor could not locate the written record of practice drills that were conducted this year. Plan of Correction: Inspector gave the sheet to the vendor and she will use the form . I will do one of each drill this month.
