Provided consultation on Virginia Pre-service (VPS) and Update Training:
Within the first 90 days of employment, all staff who work directly with children shall complete the VPS training for child care staff. The 3-hour update training is to be completed within one year of the VPS training.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on 11/13/2020 and concluded on 11/19/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 54 children present with seven staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
