Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 12/3/20 and concluded on 12/8/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 43 children present immediately supervised by nine staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records, three staff records, and three Board Officer/Agent's records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by close of business on 12/11/20. Plans of correction should include steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard, and measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

If you have questions regarding this inspection you may contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@dss.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
