This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on Thursday, December 10, 2020 and concluded on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 39 children present and 10 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-D Description: Based on review of staff record and interview with staff, the center did not ensure to obtain search results of an out of state central registry for all staff.
Evidence:1. In Staff#1's record (date of hire: 08/10/2020), there was no central registry search documentation found for any other state. 2. Interview with staff confirmed a search for an out of state central registry was not available for review during this inspection.Plan of Correction: The center submitted the request for the staff's out of state central registry search on 12/14/2020 and will include results in the record once received.
