This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 12/13/2020 and concluded on 12/18/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 26 children present and 4 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on review of two children's records, the center failed to ensure that all records were complete.
Evidence:
1. Child # 2 was missing address for one of the two required emergency contacts. Child # 2 was also missing physician's phone number.
2. Child # 1 was missing addresses for both emergency contacts.Plan of Correction: The center will have the parent to complete the missing information ASAP.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on review of five staff records, the center failed to ensure that an out of state CPS check was completed.
Evidence
1. Staff # 1 was hired on 10/25/2019 and stated that she had lived out side of the state of Virginia in the past five years. There was no documentation that the request for the CPS check in that state was completedPlan of Correction: Per director they will request the out of state background ASAP.
